We welcome Christian Stubbs as our new Discipleship Pastor

When you talk to Christian, the first thing you notice is how deeply Louisiana is woven into who he is. A native of the state, his love for the people, culture, and community is very evident.
After twelve years in student ministry, Christian followed God’s call to Calvary, stepping into the role of Campus Pastor for Calvary Woodworth. For the next fifteen years, he faithfully invested in south Rapides Parish—preaching, teaching, caring for families, and leading outreach efforts that touched many lives.
Now, Christian has stepped into a new season as Calvary’s Discipleship Pastor— an opportunity that grew naturally from his passion for helping people deepen their walk with Christ. His work on Calvary’s discipleship process development team helped shape that direction and ultimately led him to this new role.
Christian and his wife, Melody, have been partners in ministry and in life for nearly 25 years. Together, they have raised two sons—Caleb (20) and Carson (18)—both currently studying finance and business at UL–Lafayette.
“It’s a blessing to wake up every day and serve the people of Alexandria and CentralLouisiana through Calvary. I don’t ever want to take that for granted.”
Away from the office, Christian can be found cheering for his favorite Louisiana teams—the Saints, the Pelicans, and LSU. He enjoys bike rides, live concerts, discovering new places, and sharing great food and experiences with his family.
If you haven’t already, take a moment to find Christian this Sunday and welcome him to Calvary Alexandria!
