Middle School Ministry Camp Highlights

“Recently, 145 middle school students and 42 adult leaders gathered at Tall Timbers for an unforgettable week of worship, learning, and community. From the opening session to the final worship night, the Holy Spirit moved powerfully.

There really are no words that fully capture what God did in the hearts of our students.

As I reflect, here are a couple of things that stood out to me:

Students are hungry for community and the presence of God.
There is something unexplainably powerful about watching middle schoolers choose to worship, pray, and respond to the Gospel with true joy. They long to be together, with their people, worshiping Jesus.

Our adult leaders are unsung heroes.
Every late night, early morning, small group session, and one-on-one conversation was made possible by adults who said “yes” to the call to walk alongside students. Their faithfulness and presence made a lasting impact.

God is so worthy of our praise.
Time and time again, we witnessed the Holy Spirit stirring in hearts—some for the first time, others reigniting a love that had maybe had grown dim. In it all, Jesus was lifted up, and students responded.

I'm so grateful to Chad Daugherty for preaching the Gospel with clarity and passion. Thank you to every parent and guardian who entrusted us with your students. I know most of them were exhausted, but I pray they came home renewed and reminded that a relationship with Jesus is the only way to truly live...and live abundantly.

To the amazing Calvary Student Ministry team and the Tall Timbers staff: thank you for helping create space for life-changing encounters with Christ. As John 10:10 reminds us, Jesus came to give us life to the full—and this week was a powerful glimpse of that truth.”

In Christ,
Anthony Work, Middle School Pastor
