Honduras Church Partnership Update

In September, as part of our ongoing partnership with Bethel Baptist Church in Teupasenti, Honduras, a Calvary missions team focused on encouraging and strengthening the church’s growth efforts.

Our women’s team led sessions themed “Bloom,” helping women grow personally and strengthen their church. Twelve women were expected, but God brought 29 to participate. One couple also shared about marriage with Christ at the center. Theyconcluded with a prayer walk, meeting people, sharing the gospel, and praying with homes and businesses surrounding the church.

Our men’s team partnered with Pastor Fredy Lagos to evangelize men in the community and equip lay leaders to disciple others. By week’s end, the Honduran men were leading sessions themselves. God used these evangelism efforts to bring several people to saving faith in Jesus. One man shared that he had been watching our team and desperately hoping someone would come tell him about Jesus. It was a powerful reminder that God provides exactly what is needed at the right time.

The week culminated with six believers publicly declaring their faith through baptism in the Rio Jalan. Please continue to pray for Bethel Baptist Church and the believers there as they grow, disciple others, and reach their community with the gospel.
