Deacons: Called to Serve

On Sunday, January 11, during our Deacon Ordination Service, outgoing chairman Michael Pate challenged our deacons to lead with courage and serve with faith, their wives to pray and encourage steadfastly, and our church family to support them in both prayer and partnership. He reminded us that when faith fuels courage and obedience, God is glorified, the enemy loses ground, and the church thrives.
We joyfully ordained four new men into our deacon body — Chris Robertson, Brian Thompson, Bart Schmolke, and Cody Stevens — and welcomed Jim Monroe (previously ordained) as a new deacon to Calvary. Clay Broussard will serve as our chairman for 2026.
