On Mission in Canada: A Story of God’s Faithfulness

“I am writing to share the incredible blessings we experienced during our recent mission trip to Canada. From the moment we arrived, we felt God’s presence guiding us in South Calgary and Okotoks.Matthew 28:19-20 reminded us of our calling to spread the Gospel, and this truth shaped every part of our mission.

Our objectives included supportingchurch planters, assisting with outreach, and building relationships. We helped with a2-day ESL program that opened doors for a planter to connect with a marginalizedcommunity. The ladies hosted a women’s event with more than 30 attending, many atdifferent stages in their faith.

On Sunday we joined two church services and heardstrong messages on discipleship. We also experienced God’s glory in Banff NationalPark, from Lake Louise to the Rockies, reminders of His hand in creation. Another highlight was helping prepare food for a community BBQ in Okotoks.Over 30 people attended, and it was a joy to see laughter, conversation, and genuineconnections shared around brisket and smoked mac and cheese. These simplemoments of fellowship reminded us of how God works through relationships.

One of the most impactful times was a prayer walk through Okotoks. Divided into smallgroups, we prayed for the needs of the community and were reminded that missions is not only about serving with our hands but also with our hearts. C.S. Lewis once said, “The church exists for nothing else but to draw men into Christ, to make them little Christs.” We saw that come alive through every prayer, conversation, and act of service. This trip was a true picture of the Great Commission. We returned with full hearts, teary eyes, and renewed spirits, believing our mission does not end here.

Please continue to pray for Cornerstone Church, IBEA Church, and church planters Nathan Taylor and Antonio Lopez, as well as for our team as we seek to love and serve others for Christ both at home and abroad. Thank you for your support and prayers that made this trip possible.” - Louis Bolden
