A Weekend of Reconciliation: Women’s Retreat 2025

In early March, women from our church gathered for a much-needed weekend of renewal, connection, and spiritual growth. This year’s retreat centered on reconciliation—restoring our hearts to God through Jesus. We were reminded that once we are reconciled with Him, He can heal our past, redeem our pain, and transform our struggles into testimonies of His grace.

Life is hard. Pain and trials are inevitable. But instead of carrying those burdens alone, we learned what it means to surrender them at the cross. When we stop chasing fleeting happiness and instead pursue holiness, the Holy Spirit begins to shape our hearts and actions. Through worship, teaching, and reflection, we were encouraged to live as new creations—not defined by our past, but by the hope we have in Christ.

Throughout the weekend, we were challenged to consider what it truly means to walk in faith. Are we living in a way that reflects Christ? Are we holding onto struggles that God is calling us to release? Are we standing firm in His promises? These were just a few of the powerful questions that led to deep conversations, heartfelt prayers, and renewed commitments to trust in God’s plan. Beyond the sessions, the retreat was a time of authentic fellowship. Whether through shared meals, quiet moments of reflection, or laughter-filled conversations, we were reminded of the beauty of walking this journey together. Women from different backgrounds and life stages came together to encourage, uplift, and challenge one another in faith.

“...God reminded me, through so many women of the Lord, that He sees me. He knows exactly where I’m at and what is going on in my life, and He's working while I'm praying and waiting.” - Alex

“God knew what I needed even though I didn't. God knew what I needed to hear to keep me keeping on. I surrendered to God this weekend all my burdens, all my insecurities, and I feel so free.” - Sarah

“Through worship, honest conversations, and the stillness of just being in His presence, God began peeling back the layers I had unknowingly built around my heart. He showed me the barriers-fear, distraction, self-reliance-that had been keeping me from fully experiencing His love in a personal, intimate way. As those walls started to come down, I felt something I hadn't in a long time...peace. Real, deep, undeniable peace.” - Leslie
