Horseshoe Drive Elementary Missions Partnership

Even though we are participating in Operation Christmas Child this year, we still have an ongoing partnership with Horseshoe Drive. Here are the main ways our church serves with the school, and maybe you would like to volunteer to be a part of the fun!

We're collecting new and gently used zip-up jackets for the Horseshoe Drive Elementary Care Closet.
We will accept them in the church office or the collection containers just outside the church office.
Horseshoe Drive Elementary’s Care Closet
Throughout the year, we’ll gather supplies to help keep the school’s Care Closet stocked for students in need. Items can include uniforms, coats, tissues, pencils, crayons, markers, hand sanitizer, and other classroom necessities. We promote these collection opportunities periodically to help meet needs as they come up.
Teach-One to Lead-One
During the school year, we partner with this program to lead character development lessons for fourth graders. Our mentors bring hope and guidance through team-led activities and small group time. The commitment is typically a weekday morning for a set session (around 12 weeks). The lessons center around principles that help students grow in purpose and potential.
Monthly Birthday Parties
Our Calvary missions ministry hosts five birthday parties each year at Horseshoe Drive Elementary, celebrating every student’s birthday! Held on Friday afternoons in the cafeteria, students enjoy a cake with all their names on it and receive a gift. We love our volunteers who make these celebrations fun and memorable for every child.
