Here at MOPS, we gather and support moms. We offer a warm and welcoming environment to moms regardless of faith, background, or church membership. We believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together!
We couldn’t be happier that you’ve found us on this crazy beautiful journey called motherhood. Every mama nurtures and parents her kiddos differently, and it’s in those differences that we learn from each other. We are better together!
MOPS offers high-quality, women’s gatherings that welcome moms together to share life, motherhood, and Jesus. Our MOPS group is designed for moms with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers. We welcome every mom, with every story, from every background.
MOMSNext
We know that your job as a mom does not stop when your children head off to school. Though new challenges and struggles arise as you enter the school years with your kids, the need for community, hope and friendship remains. That’s why we offer MOMSnext. These groups are specifically designed to meet the needs of moms with school-age children.

Meet our New Special Needs Director Megan Moffett
“I am so honored to have been chosen to serve at Calvary as your Special Needs Ministry Director. My husband Mike and I have lived in the Alexandria area for the last two and a half years with our five children; Elli Claire, Cam, Fynn, Emery, and Easton.
Before transitioning into this role, I was a practicing board-certified behavior analyst working directly with children of all ages through Applied Behavior Analysis. I also had the privilege of being an educator for five years, teaching both Special Education and general education classes.
My passion and vision within the Special Needs Ministry are to see God’s gifts nourished in each child and to help pour His love into every family. We will continue to provide a safe space for families of children with special needs to grow and rest within God’s word and worship.
I believe each and every child is created perfect, and God has a purpose for our lives. Those with special needs have the power to impact everyone around them; teaching truth, grace, mercy, and forgiveness in their own unique way. I am excited to see how God will use me, my family, and our church to serve the special needs community in Cenla!” – Megan
