Girls in Grade 5 and their moms will meet for lunch and will make a special bracelet related to Proverbs 31. Shelia Breazeale will be our speaker.

Men’s Retreat 2024

April 26-28 – Unplug from distractions, gather with other men, and focus on what the Bible says it takes to break down barriers, and be the leader God called you to be in all areas of your life.

Young Adult Crawfish Boil & Volleyball

April 28 :: 5:00pm – 9:00pm :: Alexandria Campus
A time for young adults (18-29) to gather in the parking lot to hang out and enjoy crawfish and games together. If crawfish is not your thing, select the chicken dinner option below. Registration is required for the event. $10.00 if you are eating crawfish. $10.00 if you are eating chicken.

A Night of Testimony with Clay Dyer

May 10 :: 6:00-8:00pm :: Calvary Hall
Come listen to professional fisherman Clay Dyer give his testimony. Clay has overcome living with no arms and no legs to be a professional fishermen and declare the Gospel. (If you are registering for the fishing tournament, your $100 registration includes “A Night with Clay Dyer” on Friday night. If you want to attend “A Night with Clay Dyer” only, the cost is only $25).

Calvary Fishing Tournament

May 11 :: 6:30am-2:30pm
Calvary Fishing Tournament at Cane River Lake @ Shell Beach landing. Safe Daylight until 2:30pm.  Five Fish limit. Fish individually or in teams of two. (If you are registering for the fishing tournament, your $100 registration includes “A Night with Clay Dyer” on Friday night. If you want to attend “A Night with Clay Dyer” only, the cost is only $25).

Senior Adult Day Trip to Baton Rouge

May 14, 2024
Join our Sr. Adult group on May 14 as we take a day trip, in Calvary’s vans, to Baton Rouge. We will eat lunch, tour the Old State Capitol, and see some amazing flowers in the historical gardens downtown. Meet in the Mohon St. parking lot at 7:30am to leave Calvary by 8:00am. We will return to the church that evening by 7:00pm. The cost is $40 per person. You can register online and pay with a card or come by the church office to pay with cash or check.

Fun in the Son Tuesday

Vacation Bible School

June 3-7
Kids will be challenged as they discover that God’s truth never changes, everyone needs Jesus, and learn to speak the truth in love. Adventure awaits each day as kids explore tide pools, spot orcas, fly kites, and watch the mighty waves crash up against the immovable Breaker Rock!

Vacation Bible School is designed for children who have COMPLETED pre-k 4 (turn 5 by September 30, 2024) through Grade 5. It features Bible Study, Crafts, Missions, Music, and Recreation. All children are invited to attend. Contact Janet Jewell ( or Lindy Granger ( for more info.

Vacation Bible School for individuals with special needs and their families, including typical siblings and parents.

Grades 3 & 4 Summer Camp

July 15-19 :: Tall Timbers Baptist Conference Center, Woodworth
This camp is for children who will enter Grades 4 or 5 in August 2024. Children will experience Bible Study, Worship, Recreation and more! Will travel by church vans to Tall Timbers.

Middle School Summer Camp

July 30 – August 2
All Middle School Students who will be entering the 6th-8th grades next fall, this summer camp is for you!! Camp is July 30th-August 2nd and will be at Tall Timbers in Woodworth, LA. It will be jammed pack with ways to discover a relationship with Jesus and make deeper connections with new and old friends. Register today! Cost is $275.00. You do not want want to miss this!!

The Student Choir Mission/Adventure Trip

May 27-31 :: San Antonio, TX
We will partner with a couple of local ministries, such as Haven for Hope and Hill Country Daily Bread, which both serve the homeless community. We will also volunteer at the local Food Bank. We will have a few opportunities to sing as well. Adventures include Six Flags Fiesta Texas, SeaWorld, the Alamo, and Natural Bridge Caverns. We will be staying on a beautiful college campus in the Music Department dormitory where we will be able to enjoy their many amenities, including a swimming pool, volleyball sandpit, and tennis courts.

High School Beach Camp

July 15-19 :: Panama City Beach, Fl
Don’t miss out on this amazing chance to get away with your friends and make new ones! Camp is a fun and exhilarating way to grow deeper in your relationship with God! The cost will be $425, but a $100 DEPOSIT reserves your spot. Parents must complete the Medical Release Form and the Medical Information Form sent from DocuSign for each student’s registration to be complete. These forms will be emailed to you at a later date.
