Dr. B. David Brooks, Senior Pastor Dr. Brooks has served at Calvary Alexandria for 30 years. He has been Senior Pastor since January, 2000. Dr. Brooks received his education from East Texas Baptist University and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Suzy, have two children. Dr. Brooks is confident God is going to demonstrate His power through Calvary Woodworth.     Rev. Christian Stubbs, Campus Pastor Christian and his wife, Melody, have two children, Caleb and Carson. He is a native of Marrero, Louisiana, earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Finance from the University of Southern Mississippi and his Master’s of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!

Married Adults: Calvary Woodworth wants to encourage couples in their marriages. Each week our Marrieds Bible Classes seek to discover insights from the Bible that will help every person experience what it means to live an abundant life in Christ.

Single Adults: Opportunities for personal and spiritual growth are the top priorities of our Sunday Bible Class for Single Adults. You will develop friendships, deepen your walk with God and experience opportunities to serve God. If you have never been married, or if you have lost a spouse through divorce or death, you are welcome to be a part of our Single Adults ministry.

Preschoolers: Kids are NUMBER ONE at Calvary Woodworth. We believe that our little ones need the nurturing hand of loving Christians to help them become what God intended — fully-devoted followers of Christ. You can bring your Preschooler to any event and be assured that he/she will be cared for with love and will be taught foundational truths from God’s Word.

Children: Our Children’s Ministry touches the lives of kids in Grades 1-6. Our mission is to love and accept all children and to teach them about Jesus; thereby laying a foundation where they may grow to know Christ as their Lord and Savior. Sunday morning Bible study, fellowships, and Wednesday night activities offer your child opportunities to grow in relationships with others and with God.

Youth: Grades 7-12 youth can find friends while they study God’s Word. Regular fellowships and Youth worship services along with D-NOW, summer camps and mission trips will allow students to know Christ and make Him known.

Want to help in Woodworth?
As we are planning for the Launch of our ministry in Woodworth, we are looking for Calvary members who are willing to give of their time to assist in numerous ways. We need Bible teachers for Adults, Youth, Children and Preschoolers.  (Some current leaders may want to “double up” by teaching in Alexandria, then driving to Woodworth to teach again that same day.)

We also need worship leaders in Music--both singing and instruments. In addition, we need some who will serve as greeters and others who will help in outreach and media.
