40 Days in the Word


Overview
 
40 Days in the Word is a spiritual-growth campaign to encourage you and your family to Love the Word, Learn the Word, and Live the Word.

 •The campaign involves Bible Study classes and a sermon series by our pastor.
 •Sunday January 29, February 5, 12, 19, 26, and March 4.
           Alexandria Campus: Worship at 8:45 and 11:00 AM | Bible Study at 10:00 AM
           Woodworth Campus:  Worship at 10:00 AM | Bible Study at 11:15 AM
 •The Bible Study material and accompanying DVD lessons are written and presented by Rick Warren, pastor of Saddleback
     Church in California.  Each youth and adult participant will receive a free workbook.

What about the Kids?
 •Children in grades 1-6 will participate in a customized 40 Days in the Word curriculum.
 •Babies thru Kindergarten will participate in age-appropriate Bible Study classes.
 
What about Special Needs?
 •Special needs children in grades 1-6 will participate in an adapted 40 Days in the Word curriculum.
 •Special needs teens and adults will also participate in an adapted 40 Days in the Word curriculum.
 •Babies thru Kindergarten will participate in age-appropriate Bible Study classes.

Micah 6:8 Project
40 Days in the Word concludes with a day of service.  We call that day the “Micah 6:8 Project.”  On Saturday, March 10, each Bible Study group will participate in one of these service projects:
 •Food Bank Warehouse
 •Good Food Project
 •Manna House
 •Naomi Heights Nursing Home
 •Lexington House Nursing Home
 •Matthews Memorial Health Care
 •Marigold Nursing Home
 •Turning Point Battered Women’s Shelter
 •The Salvation Army
